The city of my childhood and where we will be attending world cup games. A relaxed river city, home to our own Queensland Reds rugby union team (You'll find quite a few 'Reds' in the Wallabies!). The climate in October/November is hot, so make sure you bring summery clothes and throw in the sunscreen. The Gold Coast is located less than an hour's drive south of Brisbane, and it our Tourism mecca! Miles of golden sun drenched beaches, clear blue surf, famous theme parks such as Seaworld, Movieworld, and Dreamworld... if you make it to Brisbane, try to squeeze in a few days at the Gold Coast - you'll love it!
