You will need to pack different items to bring with you depending on where you will be travelling in Australia throughout October and November. While Australia's climate is sub-tropical in the north, the southern states, such as Victoria and Tasmania can get cold even during summer! Think about it, those southern states are pretty close to the South Pole ;) So, if you are travelling to Victoria, Adelaide, Hobart, or Canberra, make sure that you throw in some winter woolies - you just might be thankful that you did!

For the rest of Australia, during October and November we are in the middle of summer. That means it's hot! Stinking hot at times! So, make sure that you bring plenty of cool summery clothes to wear. Also, most of the hotels have pools, and most of our cities have beaches, so bring along your swimmers and sunscreen. Infact, depending on where you'll be sitting during the cup games, you sure will need your sunscreen - and a hat. Make sure that you wear clothes that have the shoulders covered (like a T-shirt) so that you don't get so sunburnt that your entire holiday is ruined because you got sunstruck on the first day out!

Australians are a pretty relaxed bunch, so you don't really need to dress up like visiting royalty :) Smart casual clothes will take you just about anywhere here, that said, it never hurts to throw in one good outfit for 'just in case'.

We have plenty of shops and medical facilities - better make sure you have medical insurance though as it could prove costly otherwise, and there are pharmacies open in most every place until late. Many hotels also have access to medical assistance if the need arises.

Make sure you bring comfy walking shoes, you can always buy some thongs once you get here ;)) And don't forget your cameras, there's a lot of beaut scenery here in Oz and besides all of that, you might want to take a photo of our beloved Wallabies holding up 'Bill' once again! (no harm in optimistic talking it up is there?)

Anyway, if you have any questions or queries about what you should pack to bring with you when you travel to Australia then please don't hesitate to give us a yell so that we can help you out. Cheers!
